Thank you!

It’s hard to believe Power-Con 2019 was almost a week ago. 2019’s attendance was the largest yet. The little-con-that-could proudly boasts the love for both He-Man and She-Ra from fans across the world. It’s a true testament to the power of our fandom and how our passion helps keep Masters of the Universe and Princess of Power (and now Princesses!) alive year after year. Combine that with amazing displays and product from Mattel, DreamWorks, Super7, the Four Horsemen and many other licensed vendors and passionate fans, and we continue to see one amazing show after another. I’m thrilled Power-Con can help celebrate that love, thanks to your support!

This year’s Power-Con focused on the 30th anniversary of the New Adventures of He-Man, and the new She-Ra and the Princesses of Power cartoon. We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the programming and guests who helped celebrate those brands.

We originally were going to skip 2019. We knew, going into this year, that things would be light for both New Adventures and Princesses of Power. The reason being is that guests for NA (New Adventures of He-Man) are not as plentiful as other canons and we knew a lot of the voice actors had prior commitments. And with SPOP (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power), we knew that fans and creators would be weary of attending a show previously dedicated to older canons. But, at the urging of Mattel and all of you, we pushed forward. And we’re glad we did. From my point of view, Power-Con 2019 was an outstanding show. And I think many of you agree.

We should never forget that Power-Con is about ALL things He-Man and She-Ra, and I feel Power-Con has showed that all fans of all ages are welcome. We’re all one big family at Power-Con. And like any family, we may not all get along at times, but we still join together to celebrate the things we love. And, when you’re at the show, the fun and excitement of being together supplants all things found online that don’t accurately reflect what our fandom is truly like when we’re all together.

We were also in a new venue: the Hilton Anaheim. This had its pros and cons. A lot of fans loved the bigger venue and the proximity to Disneyland, while other fans missed the intimacy of the previous venue. And while we all pushed internally to make the transition to a new venue feel seamless, there’s still aspects of areas that we need to improve. These are the growing pains associated with a show that is always seeking to offer more.

Will the show get even bigger? That’s hard to tell. The size and popularity of Power-Con is inherently attached to what is going on with new entertainment and product for He-Man and She-Ra. No matter what, our goal is to give you a great fan experience. And 2020 is already shaping up to be another banner year.

So what is going to happen for 2020? Well, get ready…
2020 celebrates the 35th anniversary of the classic She-Ra: Princess of Power cartoon and toy line.
We are striving to have a larger, ardent presence for SPOP which has an immense following and continues to win over older fans, especially with how the story unfolded in season 3.
We hope to offer thrilling exposure to the upcoming Masters of the Universe: Revelation cartoon, announced at this year’s Power-Con, thanks to creators like Mattel’s Rob David, Netflix’s Ted Biaselli, showrunner Kevin Smith, and a big crew of very passionate He-Man fans who are crafting a brand new animated experience.
And 2020 won’t stop there!

This show wouldn’t exist without the hard work and dedication of our volunteer staff and fan volunteers, along with the support of talented guests, informative press, and excellent exhibitors with their wide range of fantastic offerings. But most importantly, the show thrives on the support of all the non-attendees who purchase our exclusives and especially the patronage of so many great attendees who take part in Power-Con. You all are amazing, and the warmth and friendliness you all bring to the show makes Power-Con not just a convention experience, but also a fan reunion. Thank you all so much!

So for everyone who attended, if you had a great time, please spread the word! Let other fans know what the show is like. Word-of-mouth is our biggest advertising tool, and we hope as many He-Man and She-Ra fans possible from across the globe will continue to come experience what makes Power-Con so special for so many people.

And with that, let the planning for the next Power-Con begin! And we recommend signing up to our mailing list so you won’t miss out on important announcements about dates and information. Please click here to subscribe.
2020 dates and more info to come in the following months. We hope to see you there!
